Verisense Health, Inc. has introduced the Verisense Digital Biobank™, a pioneering resource that compiles health data from over one million people. This biobank, accessible at www.verisense.net/digital-biobank, aims to streamline research by consolidating data from more than 570 studies. The repository includes a wide range of metrics, such as blood pressure and heart rate, to support the development and validation of digital biomarkers and algorithms.

Geoff Gill, CEO of Verisense Health, highlighted the historical challenge of accessing vast amounts of digital health data. He emphasized that the Digital Biobank aims to eliminate the need for repetitive data collection, thus saving time and resources for researchers.

The biobank’s efficiency is further enhanced by an AI-powered Dataset Cataloger, which automates the extraction and cataloging of metadata from digital health datasets. This system allows for frequent updates, ensuring that the biobank remains a current and valuable resource.

Featured Partners

Verisense Health is already utilizing the biobank for research projects, including evaluations of analytics packages that assess sleep using accelerometer data. The company is also working to establish activity and sleep metrics norms across a large participant base, which will aid in value-based medicine and clinical trials.

In addition to these initiatives, Verisense Health is contributing to the development of industry standards for digital health data through collaboration with the CDISC Digital Health Technologies team. Researchers interested in accessing or contributing to the Digital Biobank can explore opportunities via the provided portal.
