Paul – Diagnostic Laboratory was Established on 2008 with the aim of Providing Quality Medical Laboratory Service to the Patient in Geita.Tanzania .The Laboratory has the Following Department :
Reception /Phlebotomy
Parasitology
Hematology
Microbiology
Serology
Clinical Chemistry and Cytology Department.
Our Laboratory Diagnose the following Samples :- Stool,Urine,Blood,Salivary,Sputum,CSF,Peritoneal Fluids,Exudates,Swabs and Seminal Fluids,Skin Snip.
We always Diagnose : Malaria ,U.T.I,Salmonellae,Gonorheal,HIV,Hepatitis,Syphilis,Prostate Hyperplasia ( BPH),Tuberculosis,Anemia,Leukaemia ,Fungal infection,Menigitis,Bacteria Vaginosis etc.
The Biobank Department at Paul – Diagnostic Laboratory have the following Activities :
1. Sample Collection and Labeling at Phlebotomy Unit
2. Sample Examination at the Main Laboratory where Results are Recorded and Stored in a Software.
3. Sample Processing for Biobanking at Biobank Department ( e.g Isolation ,Separation,Smear,Fixation,Preservation,Dispesinginto Tube/Container/ Aliquots)
4. Sample Storage into Refrigerators 2 – 8 Degree of Cerisus ,Freezer -18 and at Room Temp for the Stability of Samples.
5. Sample Monitoring and Evalution e.g QC,Documentation,Disposal and Supplying Biospecimen to other user.
